Why is Crocodile Rock important?
Why is an event like Crocodile Rock important? Yes, it's fun and a good time, but the intent is serious: to raise money so that EPIC can continue to reach out to people in need. While fun events may be going on, the work of EPIC, the "Saving Lives, Transforming Families" doesn't stop. Just take a look at look at what happened at EPIC in one week (numbers from September 21 through September 25, 2009):
Counseling Center:
Prevention:
Big Brothers Big Sisters:
All of this JUST in one week.
So, we encourage you to look at Crocodile Rock not only as a fun party, but as a meaningful way to support EPIC and EPIC's programs. If you have limited entertainment funds, we ask that you consider spending the $50 for a Crocodile Rock ticket. Not only is it a bargain (admission to the Alligator Farm, food from 15 restaurants - see list below, live music, dancing and entertainment), it is helping children and adults in your community get help with their substance abuse addiction or other related problem.
